But first! Let me take a Selfie!

Hey all!

So, I know the title of this blog is a little weird haha but I'm weird so it's okay! I think..?? Haha

Anyways! Time to actually talk about what I was gonna talk about :p

Now, I know everyone likes to take selfies every now and then. Which that is completely okay! Trust me, even I do selfies every now and then haha

But then, there are the people who take selfies and post them just so they can have people tell them how cute they look or how hot they are. They are looking for someone to compliment them. In the was my mom says it, they are "fishing for compliments."

Now, in no way, shape, or form am I calling out all of you who go take a bunch of selfies in a day. But more or less, I'm asking you why do you? Why spend the time trying to get a perfect selfie photo every time?

I am betting a lot of you who take selfies are a tad self conscious about how you look. You are looking for others to tell you that you are pretty. You want them to build you up but telling you your cute, pretty, hot, Ect. The list could go on and on!

But really, we shouldn't be finding our worth in others. We shouldn't let others decide if we are pretty or not.

There should be one person we should go to when we need that acknowledgement. And it's God.

He knows with his whole heart that every person is beautiful. No matter what other people say. You are made in his image. And he loves you with his whole heart.

Just like the words in the song "Oceans" By: Hillsong

"For I am yours, and you are mine"

We don't need to look for others to find our self worth in. God is where we will find it all. He is the one we need to go to.

He will be our strength and he is the one that always says:

"My Daughter/Son, you are made in my image and you are beautiful! And I love you"

So, next time you want to take a selfie, ask yourself "Am I just putting one up for fun? Or am I trying to fish for compliments to make myself feel better?"

If it's choice number 1, then that's good!

If it's choice number 2, I would suggest putting your phone/iPad/iPod/camera/Ect down and pray. And remember that God finds you beautiful.

Everyone is beautiful.
